Cenveo Contracted by Thompson Media, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society
STAMFORD, CT/COLUMBIA, MD—June 7, 2012—Cenveo Inc. announced it has been retained by Thompson Media Group to manage the company’s content, print and fulfillment production needs and provide state-of-the-art mobile applications to Thompson Media Group customers. The contract with Cenveo goes into effect immediately and a transition will occur to support, refine and replace the current print, fulfillment and pick-and-pack process.
Meanwhile, Cenveo Publisher Services, a division of Cenveo in Columbia, MD, has been awarded a new three-year contract by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology to provide a full range of journal production services, including copy editing, composition and content management for the Journal of Biological Chemistry and Molecular & Cellular Proteomics, and print services for the society’s member magazine, ASBMB Today.
Cenveo’s broad offerings align with Thompson Media Group’s mission to be the preferred provider of compliance, regulatory, and market information to customers in its four operating units, using its extraordinary industry expertise to differentiate its content, services, and product offerings, including multi-channel distribution and enriched content.
Jim Still, president and CEO of Thompson Media Group, said, “This change is consistent with our overall strategy to update our delivery systems and to deliver timely information to our subscribers. I look forward to the work that Cenveo will be able to do on our behalf.”
Nancy Rodnan, ASBMB’s Director of Publications, commented, “The high level of experience and service that the Cenveo team provides is instrumental to the success of our publications. We thoroughly enjoy working with them and our online-platform provider to technically advance our online offerings.”
Atul Goel, Cenveo’s senior vice president for global operations and technology, added, “We are very excited to renew our partnership with ASBMB. Over the years, ASBMB and Cenveo Publisher Services have worked together to accomplish many of ASBMB’s publishing objectives, such as developing an automated author-services system to collect reprint and publication fees ahead of production, the migration of supplemental material into a flexible and unified model, and accelerated schedules through aggressive workflows, including a collaborative web proofing model that is designed to enhance and streamline the author proofing cycle.”
Goel continued, “We look forward to continuing to work closely with ASBMB and other scholarly publishers to drive improved workflows through technology.”
