PHILADELPHIA - February 19, 2018 - As market convergence continues to accelerate, Kodak has decided to support the 2019 PRINTING United Expo in Dallas, Oct. 23-25, 2019. ”We see the convergence of multiple market segments and technologies as printers are looking for flexible solutions to enable their growth and brands are looking for high-quality, cost effective solutions,” says Patti Smith, VP, WW Business Development & Marketing, Enterprise Inkjet Systems Division, Eastman Kodak Company. “PRINTING United 2019 allows Kodak the opportunity to showcase our digital capabilities and engage in conversation with many different players in the value chain for print in the world.”
PRINTING United, a joint venture of the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and NAPCO Media, builds upon the strength and reputation of SGIA Expo, the industry’s premier showcase for graphic and visual communications.
For Kodak, education is essential to move the industry forward and PRINTING United will offer many learning opportunities across all segments of the print industry. “Combining traditional print communities is an idea long overdue and this event is a great opportunity for a dialogue. Many shows and events focus on single market segments or technologies but PRINTING United brings together this diverse community into a single forum. It certainly enables a more cost effective and efficient method to touch so many industry players,” says Smith.
For Kodak and other vendors in the market, PRINTING United will provide an opportunity to examine the opportunities presented within adjacent markets. This event, focused on new markets and growth, should also spur creative thinking and bring forward new ideas for everyone’s business strategies.
“Kodak looks forward to expanding our engagement into packaging applications, as well as other market segments beyond the traditional commercial and publishing markets,” says Smith. “We are also interested in supporting the growth of digital into new market segments, including home décor and signage. The opportunity to participate in an event sponsored by NAPCO and SGIA is creating the ‘perfect storm’ - in a good way!”
