Nela USA Company Video
It was in 1901 when Emil Neumeister Lithographer from Thuringen founded a shop in Lahr, Germany for printing machines. Ernst Neumeister, nephew of Emil Neumeister, joined the company in 1926. Four years later Emil’s brother Bernhard followed him. In 1938 Ernst and Bernhard founded Brüder Neumeister (Brothers Neumeister) in Lahr. A business friend recommended that the brothers give the products a trade name. That’s when the name NELA (NE=Neumeister, LA=Lahr) and the logo with the two diamonds was born.
Since then, NELA stands for an innovative and future-orientated business which has always strived for new technical innovations. In 2000, NELA expanded to the US by merging with Ternes Register Systems by purchasing all assets of Ternes, and thus became the largest manufacturer of Punch and Bending Systems. In 2005 NELA also purchased all assets of the Lastra America - Western Lithotech punch bender business from AGFA.
Today, NELA USA in Oakdale, Minnesota has a production facility of 50,000 sqf with fully integrated Engineering, Customer Service and Production. Our equipment is proudly “Made in the USA”.
