In the #UKvUSA podcasts I go head-to-head with U.K. Print Champion Matthew Parker, resulting in enthusiastic debates and sometimes passionate arguments on all things print buying. In this episode we discuss our lockdown observations from both sides of the pond, and find common ground on how we are seeing the industry react and what we think printers should be doing to plan for the future. However, it wouldn’t be the #UKvUSA podcast without a few disagreements here and there!
COVID-19 has affected different locations in very different ways, and in this podcast Matthew and I discuss the differences in how print businesses are operating in the U.K. and the U.S., in terms of what they are allowed to do and are choosing to do. We discuss the opportunities for printers to adapt to the current reality and beyond – should you be hiring an in-house designer? Should you be looking for businesses that provide complementary services to partner with? How should print businesses be getting innovative right now to serve their customers and communities, and how do those opportunities differ in our two countries?
There is still a long road ahead. Preparing for obstacles and challenges you can foresee, and having options in place to be able to pivot and serve print customers when they come back, is something every printer can do now.
Listen Long and Prosper!
