Printer Arandell Corp. and a union representing 600 of its workers are battling over what the union says is a company push to keep in effect a 21 percent pay cut imposed a year ago. In contract talks, the company is proposing to keep wages at the reduced level, but has restored pay to nonunion employees, local union leader Michael Sippy said.
The moves have upset production workers at the Menomonee Falls (WI) operation.
“There are a lot of angry people there,” said one employee who asked not to be named, fearing retaliation.
An Arandell executive declined to comment.
