'Jesus Welcomes You to Hawkins' Sign Creates Dispute Involving Texas Print Shop Owner

Replicas of a "Jesus welcomes you to Hawkins" sign are at the center of a dispute between sellers and a print shop owner.

Brian Whitfield, the owner of 903 Printing Company, said he is responsible for printing hundreds of "Jesus welcomes you to Hawkins" yard signs, banners and t-shirts. The paraphernalia mimics the 18-foot purple and gold wooden sign in Hawkins that faces Highway 80.

Whitfield said he filled orders at cost, believing that the products would be sold and the profits would go toward legal efforts to protect the highway sign.
