Worker Dies in Forklift Explosion at Quad/Graphics in Dickson (TN)

A 20-year employee of Quad/Graphics in Dickson was killed in a forklift explosion Friday at the plant. Bruce Mitchell died early Friday evening after sustaining injuries in the afternoon incident, according to an email sent to Quad/Graphics employees by Joel Quadracci, chairman, president and CEO. Mitchell worked in the Press Department as a Stacker on Team 2.

The blaze was quickly put out. No estimation of the damage has been provided. Authorities said they believe the fire was started by something electrical in nature, and not a propane tank, as was previously believed.
