About 300 people will lose their jobs as Xerox eliminates two Oregon call centers. The Norwalk, CT-based document management company disclosed through a notice filed under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act that it is closing its customer care centers in Coos Bay and North Bend.
In an e-mailed statement, Xerox attributed the decision to close the centers to a "change in the client's strategy and business conditions that have made it necessary to consolidate business units."
