An Engine Room Has No Windows
The engine room on a large cruise ship or yacht has no windows.
If the captain commands, “full speed ahead,” the team in the engine room obeys, even if the ship is about to hit an iceberg.
If the captain commands, “hard left rudder,” the team in the engine room will turn the hard left rudder even if they will crash into another ship.
If the captain commands, “hard right rudder,” the team in the engine room will turn hard right even if they will run ashore.
There are no windows in the engine room. The team in the engine room obeys the commands of the captain without question — no matter what.
We human beings are like a cruise ship. Our minds create thoughts — thousands of thoughts a day. These thoughts are the “captain” of our ship. Our subconscious is like the engine room. It obeys the commands of the captain without question — no matter what.
If your mind — the captain — keeps thinking, “I’m sick and tired,” your subconscious — the team in your engine room — will make sure you are sick and tired.
If your mind — the captain — keeps thinking, “I’m a loser, I can’t be successful,” your subconscious — the team in your engine room — will make sure you are a failure.
If your mind — the captain — keeps thinking, “I can do this, I can be successful,” your subconscious — the team in your engine room — will make sure you are successful.
Further, your subconscious has no sense of humor. If you say, even kiddingly, things like “I must be a moron” or “I am so forgetful,” etc., your subconscious will see to it that you are a moron or forgetful.
You get it.
Your mind, your thoughts, are the captain of your life. Be sure your commands are purposeful and positive.
