Zarik Megerdichian didn’t let the frustration of getting ripped off dampen his entrepreneurial spirit. If anything, it made him work harder.
At the time, Megerdichian was working as a graphic designer and was hired by a local online printer. While he submitted the design job per order, the printer client promptly stiffed him on a $250 payment. Megerdichian didn’t brood for long; he trained himself in Web design and purchased a press. From there, the 4over concept was well on its way to becoming a reality.
The largest trade printer in North America, 4over provides four primary product groups: marketing materials, packaging, large-format and promotional products. The company has 14 operation centers throughout the United States and Canada and it serves the designer community as well as printers.
According to Megerdichian, 4over continues to grow at an exponential rate in terms of size, functionality and breadth of product offerings. In the past year alone, the company opened new operations centers in Houson, Central Florida, San Jose, California and a new production center in Seattle.
“Customers in these regions now have access to our local delivery network and incredibly fast turnaround times,” he says. “This wide distribution network, along with an ever-expanding mix of products and leading-edge services, were key contributors to the significant growth we’ve seen over the past year.”
4over dedicated financial resources to boosting its printing arsenal, upgrading its large-format capabilities and installing an eight-color Komori “superpress.” Capacity has been strategically increased to accommodate future growth, with the national election adding a spike in demand for large-format products including signs, banners and flags. As 2016 moves forward, the company anticipates moving forward with vigorous expansion plans to go with additional equipment purchases.
“This year, we're putting more tools and solutions into the hands of our customers to enable them to perfect their profits and continue to grow thriving businesses,” Megerdichian notes. “In 2015, we rolled out a brand new full service EDDM solution that customers are beginning to embrace as an essential component to their outsourcing strategy. We've also introduced a tool called Con4rm that preflights customers' files for them, in addition to a new online resource called MyMarketing which gives customers access to free resources to use when marketing our products. These tools save our customers significant amounts of time and money, enabling them to experience exponential growth.
“We'll be bringing more innovative solutions like these to the market this year as well, including tools that will transform how our customers run their operations. These solutions, coupled with our ever-expanding footprint and product mix, are the keys to ensuring continual rapid growth, fulfilling our vision to simplify and transform print both now and in the future. 4over remains always on the cutting edge of print technology, and we're securing our position as the outsourcing partner to all printers everywhere.”
