WARRENDALE, Pa. — February 14, 2017 — Printing Industries of America proudly shares the line-up of speakers for the 2017 Continuous Improvement Conference on April 2-5 in Pittsburgh. Joe Murli, CEO, The Murli Group; Michael Bremer, president, Cumberland Group–Chicago; Greg Glebe, founder and CEO, Xylem Design; Jamie Parker, district manager, Manufacturing Network, FedEx Office; and Rich Diviney, director of outreach, Barry-Wehmiller will provide guidance and share experiences during the multi-day event focused on Lean manufacturing and other quality management control systems.
Joe Murli presents “Engaging Everyone Everyday: Lean Management at Work,” where he will outline the six elements — from understanding your “true north” to a culture of accountability—that need to be in place in order to create an organization that can sustain a Lean transformation.
Michael Bremer’s session, “How to Do a Gemba Walk,” is based on his award-winning book by the same name and explains what exactly a Gemba walk is, how to structure an effective one, and why such management walks are necessary to create a continuous improvement culture.
In “Fix what Bugs You: Making Problem Solving Your Competitive Edge” Greg Glebe tells the true story of one company’s attempts at creating a Lean culture and helps attendees learn if their company should consider a similar trail.
Jamie Parker delivers a presentation on “Why Isn’t Lean Working? Investing in People to Navigate the Lean Road Trip,” a candid look at FedEx Office’s struggle to implement Lean, including a very bumpy start. Parker will explain how ongoing support of Lean by top management is a model of what can be done.
During Rich Diviney’s session, “Everybody Matters: Unlocking Unlimited Potential,” Barry-Wehmiller’s cultural transformation is on display as Diviney shares his five key learnings that have allowed it to create an environment where everybody matters.
