manroland Inc. was awarded the 2011 Harold W. Gegenheimer Corporate Award for Industry Service from NPES. The award was presented to manroland's North American CEO Vince Lapinski in recognition of the company's industry leadership, civic leadership and technical innovation.

Presstek Inc. has reorganized its North American sales team. In the United States, Kurt Hamlin has assumed the role as director of sales for digital printing systems. In the computer-to-plate (CTP) business, John Meyer, Presstek's Midwest regional sales director, moves into the role of director of sales, U.S. CTP business. In Canada, Todd Phillips will continue to manage sales for both the DI and CTP product lines in his role as national sales director for Canada.
Filip Buyse has joined EFI in the newly created position of general manager of EFI Digital StoreFront and EFI PrintSmith. He is now responsible for the overall global vision, business development, messaging and management of these two software product lines. Buyse most recently served as president and CEO of the Prism Group, until the MIS provider was acquired by EFI last August.
Michael Brice has been named director of business development at INX International Ink. Brice comes to INX from Squid Ink; prior to that, he spent the majority of his career at Superior Printing Ink. Brice will initially focus his efforts on INX's offset division.
Datatech SmartSoft has hired Michael Jahn, a prepress and digital workflow expert, for its PressWise team. He is now responsible for PressWise installations, product training and developing custom solutions, as well as product development projects.
Mark Legac is the new vice president of sales and marketing at GammTech Corp. Prior to joining the company, Legac managed and developed the sales and marketing departments at both Gämmerler Corp. and Rima-System.
In conjunction with its 2011 Global Authorized Distributor Meeting in Beijing this fall, Xingraphics hosted a special celebration to honor the company's fifth year as an international organization. More than 105 of its partners from 43 countries attended the annual event, which is designed to enable global partners, customers and Xingraphics personnel to network and share ideas. PI
