4Over Opens New ‘Gateway to The East’
DAYTON, OH—The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed trade printer 4Over Inc. to its new Huber Heights manufacturing facility during an official ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the plant November 15.
Several public officials attended the event and spoke to approximately three dozen invited guests, which included industry and local TV media, 4Over clients, neighboring businesses and various Chamber of Commerce members. The public officials who joined in the celebration were from the Ohio House of Representatives and Dayton’s city government.
The Huber Heights facility, which contains more than 100,000 square feet, is 4Over’s fifth production plant, but the first one outside of Glendale, CA, where the printer’s headquarters is located. It is just beginning operation with an initial work force of 40-plus, most of whom were hired from the local area.
Zarik Megerdichian, 4Over’s CEO, says he initially expected the new plant to produce up to 150 new jobs when operating at maximum capacity, but he now believes that figure may double.
Megerdichian explains that the Huber Heights site was selected because of its central location, which will facilitate the needs of 4Over customers in the Midwest, East Coast and Southern regions, especially in terms of turnaround times, which will be nearly cut in half. Shipping costs will also be greatly reduced, he adds, giving clients another edge.
Company execs expect the facility, which they call “4Over’s Gateway to the East,” to be fully operational by the end of 2007.
