Did you know that putting a "Fragile" sticker on your package increases the chance that it will get damaged?
That's the claim in an amusing (if heartbreaking) article on Floship that offers seven reasons packages get destroyed.
“'Fragile' stickers are like 'wet paint' signs,” the article contends. "Putting one on a package practically guarantees that it will get punted around like a football."
Don't believe it? The story cites a study by Popular Mechanics in which researchers loaded up a package with sensors and shipped it. They discovered that packages marked “fragile” got beat up more than those without the markings.
