LISLE, Ill. — July 5, 2016 — With over 25 years of experience in printing and operations management, Jason Elliott will now oversee the new equipment sales efforts of the commercial web product sector for manroland web systems North America. Elliott replaces Roland Ortbach in the position, who recently retired.
In his role as VP of Sales, Jason Elliott is responsible for promoting not only manroland web systems commercial offset press products, but also the digital inkjet finishing products. Elliott also maintains responsibility for managing the consumables business.
"Jason understands the unique needs of each printer through the development of strong customer relationships, and he has a talent for creating custom offerings which ensure production reliability and sustainable press performance," says Greg Blue, CEO at manroland web systems North America.
With his experience in the world of training and service, and his wide knowledge of the current business needs for North American print operations, he brings a broad understanding of how manroland web systems can support customers throughout the lifetime of their press investment. "Today’s market for press equipment continues to be directed towards efficiency and flexibility. My time spent working with our customers in the world of service and support has uniquely qualified me to understand equipment needs from a perspective focused on reducing manufacturing costs and streamlining operations, without sacrificing quality or productivity," states Elliott.
Elliott started his career at Auckland University of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand, and subsequently as a manager at one of Australia’s leading print houses. His experience moved him into a position managing printing operations throughout Australia. In 2003, as a Print Trainer for manroland Inc., Elliott gained extensive insight to the unique needs of printers in North America, and soon moved to leadership positions throughout the Service Department.
