The SGIA FP3 Luncheon serves the growing segments in the industry of industrial printing and printed electronics. This year, the luncheon will be headlined by keynote speaker Colby B. Jubenville, PhD, who will lead the community in a discussion about building a business, and will be held today from 12:00 to 1:30 pm in room N110.
“Attendees of the luncheon this year will be able to connect with other like-minded printers or suppliers in their community,” says Joyia Marshall, Community Development Manager at SGIA. “And then they will hear from Colby on his talk about personal brands and personal relationships. From there, we will have a preview of what’s to come at the next FP3 conference next spring.”
Jubenville is a blogger for the Washington Times and has authored multiple books, including “Zebras & Cheetahs.” He holds an academic appointment at Middle Tennessee State University and has published more than 35 peer-reviewed and professional trade articles during his tenure in higher education. He is also a consultant and speaker who teaches businesses how to better understand the unique value they can deliver to their customers.
At the FP3 Luncheon, he will present “Personal Brands and Personal Relationships: Business is Personal.” Using a series of short stories and frameworks, he will demonstrate how and why personal brands and personal relationships allow businesses to differentiate themselves from their competition while they create stronger meaning and connections with the people they serve. In addition to speaking at the 2018 SGIA Expo, he will also speak at the 2019 FP3: Functional Printing, Process and Products conference, building on many of the same topics he will touch on at the FP3 Luncheon.
“I’m really excited about Colby presenting,” Marshall says. “He’s very engaging and exudes a lot of confidence. His presentation will really resonate with this market, and get them thinking about and excited for the FP3 conference next spring.”
The luncheon is geared toward the thought-leaders in the organizations serving these markets, as well as the tech-oriented individuals who are interested in learning more about how it works and how they might be able to add it to their own business model. “Everyone is invited to attend this luncheon, even if they aren’t already familiar with this community,” Marshall says. “This is a chance to gather, meet folks and learn more about this community and this segment. And Colby’s talk will resonate with anyone, not just someone already knowledgeable and experienced.”
There is limited availability for the luncheon, with just 100 seats. Tickets are $30 and the luncheon is not part of the Expo + Education pass. For those who did not purchase a ticket ahead of time, stop by the SGIA Booth (1961) to inquire about availability.
