Watching the video below may make you wonder why you ever switched over to using a digital navigation system. Created by the Regional Centre for Geographic Information Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur for a conference called SIG La Lettre, the video pokes fun at the use of digital navigation systems versus the printed map.
The video starts off by candidly introducing "a new bio-optical knowledge recording and dissemination system, responding to the trade name: Map." It points out that the Map does not take batteries, does not need to be updated and can even be used in extreme cold.
The video was very clever in its approach, and shows that in today's world with an increase of security issues, sometimes the simplest approach can be the best.
