CITY OF COMMERCE—Ross Bindery has purchased a Best Osako 368 AutoSet saddle stitcher from Best Graphics. The unit is the company's 13th Osako and the third 368 Ross has installed in the past several months.
COSTA MESA—Western Litho has installed a new Rollem TR die-score system. A new addition to the company's bindery department, the TR system is used for scoring, perfing, trimming and right-angle processing.
OXNARD—Custom Printing Director of Sales Charles Utts announced that the company plans to expand its plant after acquiring an additional 5,000 square feet of manufacturing floor space and sales offices.
SAN CARLOS—A Presstek Dimension 200 thermal platesetter has been installed at Infinity Press. Prepress proofing will be done on an EPSON Color Stylus Pro 10000 with an Oris Color Tuner RIP device.
CONNECTICUT
WALLINGFORD—Northeast Thermography has added a four-color Ryobi 3304HA press and a new Printware Platestream SC CTP system.
GEORGIA
AUGUSTA—A two-color, 201⁄2x283⁄8˝ Sakurai 272EIIH sheetfed press has been installed at Strother Printing.

BOLINGBROOK—R.R. Donnelley Logistics employees have presented the Fountaindale Public Library with a $25,000 grant for the purchase of a 32-foot bookmobile to be used as a mobile library branch for the community.
CARPENTERSVILLE—A six-color Komori Lithrone press with coater and a two-color Lithrone 40 perfector have been purchased by Carlith Printing.
DOWNERS GROVE—Ace Reprographics, the in-plant printing facility for Ace Hardware, is running a new Sakurai 572 EDII press.
IOWA
DES MOINES—Full-service trade binder Bindery 1 has increased its finishing capacities with the addition of a Buhrs-Zaandam automatic poly-bagging system.
KANSAS
NEWTON—Mennonite Press held its Centennial Chuckwagon Jamboree recently to celebrate the people who have supported the company throughout its history. The Jamboree was open to the public and included food and entertainment. A full-service printer, Mennonite specializes in color printing, books and periodicals.
WICHITA—A Wohlenberg (sold by MAN Roland) 115PS Cut-Tec paper cutter has been installed at Wichita Press by Disgraf Service.
LOUISIANA
NEW ORLEANS—Dixie Web has streamlined its book finishing operation with the recent installation of a Bravo-S saddle stitching system from Muller Martini. It handles both one- and two-up production and can accommodate high folio, low folio or suction opening of signatures. The stitcher automates makereadies by allowing operators to program the machine from a central control panel.

FARMINGTON—A two-color, 40˝ Komori Lithrone II is up-and-running at Nemi Publishing.
SCARBOROUGH—Crossweb Printing has installed a four-color, 181⁄8x22˝ Sakurai 458EPII four-up press.
MARYLAND
ANNAPOLIS—A five-color Komori Lithrone 28 is now in operation at Frank Gumpert Printing.
BALTIMORE—Label printer Gamse Lithographing has added a Gerber Sector coating blanket cutter into its workflow. It is being used to create both aqueous and UV coating blankets, reports Bill Forness, prepress supervisor.
MINNESOTA
BROOKLYN PARK—Brooklyn Printing has installed a four-color Komori Lithrone 28.
ST. CLOUD—Palmer Printing has implemented the Printcafe Hagen OA print management system.
NEW JERSEY
WEST ORANGE—Barton Press has licensed the Pro-Mail fulfillment solution from Software Marketing Associates to manage a nationwide fulfillment project for its client, GAF Materials. Barton quickly met its client's needs—it constructed a new fulfillment center and began processing orders with the Pro-Mail system in just five weeks.
OHIO
CLEVELAND—HKM Direct Marketing has installed a six-color Komori Lithrone 40 press with tower coater.
WISCONSIN
PEWAUKEE—Quality Color Graphics is now providing "Staccato screening," and reports it is one of the only offset printing companies in the state with these capabilities. It comes on the heels of the installation of a new Creo thermal platesetter and 40˝ Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102 press.
