CITY OF INDUSTRY—Modem Graphics has christened its new headquarters with a new six-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi Model 3F-16 sheetfed press.
OXNARD—Family owned Custom Printing has acquired a five-color Komori waterless press featuring automatic plate hangers and custom spot aqueous coating. Custom Printing has been in business since 1974 and specializes in full-color printing.
SAN DIEGO—Commercial Press has installed a six-color, 40˝ Komori Lithrone press equipped with a ColorCommand temperature control/cooling system from TriService.

BOCA RATON—JKG Group has launched LojX, a new e-solutions provider. Using a proprietary Internet program called e-Stationery Pro, users looking to update and control brand images or logos can quickly achieve a unified look on business cards, stationery, envelopes, signage and promotional materials.
NORTH MIAMI BEACH—Gold Star Printers has purchased an A.B.Dick DPM2340 direct-to-plate system and a ScanMaster digital scanning system.
SARASOTA—Sun Screenprinting has purchased "The System" business management software from CRC Information Systems.

DOWNERS GROVE—Johnson Printers has purchased a five-color ADAST 755C DI direct imaging press with aqueous coater.
LINCOLNWOOD—Prepress and retouching facility Imagine Graphics Group has changed its name to Imagine Print Group. This change comes with the addition of a new six-color, 40˝ Heidelberg Speedmaster CD press with coater, a complete CTP workflow and a new Kodak Approval digital proofing system.
VALMEYER—MAR Graphics has announced the installation of a Xerox DocuColor 2045 digital color press. MAR is a trade-only printer offering forms, labels, document printing and warehousing.

HUNTINGTON—Catalog and publication printer Print Support has installed four DGM 430 stack units and a DGM 1030 folder from Dauphin Graphic Machines.

OVERLAND PARK—Label manufacturer Dot Label has purchased "The System" business management software from CRC Information Systems.

NEW JERSEY
HAMILTON—White Eagle Printing has added a six-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi Model 3F-13 sheetfed press equipped with a tower coater and extended delivery.
PROSPECT PARK—Sheetfed and digital printer Lont & Overkamp has marked its 100th anniversary. An open house is being planned for mid-year by fourth-generation owner Josh Lont.
NEW YORK
BUFFALO—A new six-color, 28˝ Mitsubishi Model 1F-15 sheetfed press is up and running at United Graphics. The 8,000-square-foot shop houses electronic prepress, press and bindery equipment.
NEW YORK CITY—Digital printing facility Digital Ink has installed a new KBA 74 Karat digital press. Digital Ink boasts 13,000 square feet on Varick Street, New York's traditional printing area. The 50-employee shop offers a full prepress suite to go along with its digital printing services.
WATERTOWN—Johnson News-paper Corp., based here, has purchased 12 DGM 440 units and one DGM 1035 folder from Dauphin Graphic Machines. The units are to be installed in a new 17,000-square-foot production facility in Massena, NY. This new facility replaces two separate pressrooms in Ogdensburg and Malone, NY.
OHIO
CINCINNATI—Purup-Eskofot subsidiary TechSage has installed its 500th SpinJet 1000 double-sided imposition proofing system at Arnold Printing, based here. The system was sold by GE Richards, with the support of distributor Tekgraf Inc. Arnold Printing is a commercial printer focusing on business collateral, direct mail and stationery. Established in 1910, Arnold Printing encompasses 30,000 square feet.
FOSTORIA—Gray Printing, a fourth-generation family owned company, has invested $500,000 to move to a computer-to-plate workflow. New equipment includes a CreoScitex Lotem platesetter, Heidelberg NexScan scanner, Iris proofer and a CreoScitex digital dylux. The company has also purchased a Kodak Approval proofing system, installed a T-1 line for high-speed transmission of files and entered into an agreement with RealTimeProof for soft proofing over the Internet.

OKLAHOMA CITY—Semco Color Press recently installed a six-color, 28˝ Komori Lithrone sheetfed press equipped with a ColorCommand temperature control/cooling system from TriService.

HILLSBORO—Lithtex Printing is running a new six-color, 40˝ Komori Lithrone sheetfed press equipped with a ColorCommand temperature control/cooling system from TriService.
PORTLAND—As part of its West Coast expansion efforts, the Premedia Technologies group of R.R. Donnelley has opened a new premedia operation here. The new 30,000-square-foot facility features a completely digital workflow—from photography to asset management to prepress.
PENNSYLVANIA
COLLEGEVILLE—Innovative Printing has changed its name to Innovative Print & Media Group. The company now offers marketing, interactive, creative, direct and e-fulfillment services to go along with printing, fulfillment and warehousing services.
HORSHAM—Pomco Graphic Arts, in conjunction with the Art Directors Club of Philadelphia, hosted more than 50 people with an educational seminar program recently. The purpose was to educate and illustrate how graphic design can be impacted by the many printing and finishing processes available to art directors and graphic designers.
PITTSBURGH—Schiff Printing has announced it is expanding into the mailing business with the purchase of Addressing & Duplicating Services.
TENNESSEE
MEMPHIS—Starr Toof Printing, a 137-year-old provider of sheetfed and web printing, has installed an eight-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi Model 3F-16 sheetfed press with a tower coater.
TEXAS
ARLINGTON—An Indigo Platinum digital offset color press was installed at IC Creative a week after the close of PRINT 01. The company offers printing, binding and multimedia services.
FORT WORTH—Westbridge Printing is running a new six-color, 40˝ Komori Lithrone sheetfed press equipped with a ColorCommand temperature control/cooling system from TriService.
VIRGINIA
FALLS CHURCH—A new Heidelberg NexPress 2100 digital color press is now running at Washington, DC-area commercial printer Balmar.
WASHINGTON
TUMWATER—The State of Washington Department of Printing is operating a new six-color, 28˝ Komori Lithrone press equipped with a ColorCommand temperature control/cooling system from TriService.
WISCONSIN
DELAFIELD—CL&D Digital, a digital printer of labels and packaging materials, has relocated to a new 10,000-square-foot facility at 3697 Kettle Court East.
EAU CLAIRE—Documation has upgraded its prepress department by adding a PlateRite 4000 thermal CTP platesetter and Trueflow workflow solution from Screen (USA).
VIROQUA—NCR Corp. has installed a TriService ColorCommand temperature control/cooling system on its new five-color Muller Martini A52 press. The TriService system also provides chilling for the press' IST UV lamps.
