Irwindale—The Processors recently added a five-color Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74 with perfector and coater to its pressroom. Founded in 1974, the shop houses 19 employees and services advertising agencies and network-based companies.
SAN DIEGO—Printing Industries Association of San Diego held its annual membership meeting at PetCo Park, home of the San Diego Padres baseball team, in June. FORT LAUDERDALE—All American Printing Center recently installed a Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46 for production of its one- and two-color print jobs such as books and other small-quantity work.
Largo—BBF Printing Solutions hosted its first-ever open house in May. Featured was the company's new Direct Mail Solutions division and its recently purchased 10-color Sanden XP1500 press. More than 100 people were in attendance including existing and potential customers, as well as local politicians and state representatives.

OAK LAWN—Atlantic Press has purchased a 12,500 scfm regenerative thermal oxidizer for its heatset web presses from The CMM Group.
ROCKFORD—The Rockford Register Star has selected Ferag for its gripper conveyor needs to complement a KBA Colora press as part of its production facility upgrade scheduled to be completed in April 2006.

Davenport—The Brandt Co. recently installed a four-color Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 102 perfector with coater and access control, and a six-color Speedmaster CD 74 with coater, extended delivery and image control. With the recent installations, the formerly half-size shop has increased its capabilities to include larger formats.

JOHNSON CITY—The Central New York Newspaper Group will install an integrated postpress system from Goss International at a new facility now under construction for combined production of the Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin, the Ithaca Journal and the Elmira Star-Gazette. Components will include two Goss NP630 inserters, as well as gripper conveyors and Goss Omnizone supervisory controls.
NEW YORK CITY—Zadok-Keinan, a financial printer in Israel, has partnered with international financial printing firm Capital Printing Systems, based here. The alliance is reportedly the first exclusive partnership between an international financial printer and an Israeli company.

AKRON—Prime Business Solutions has formed a new division focused on serving independent distributors. The new division, The Ampersand Group, allows distributors to benefit from its warehousing, fulfillment and online ordering delivery system.
CLEVELAND—48hourprint.com has installed a Kluge OmniFold automatic folder/gluer. The addition of the OmniFold has allowed the company to bring pocket folder converting in-house.
TOLEDO—Cenveo's sheetfed plant here is operating a six-color, 64˝ KBA Rapida 162a press with aqueous coating and hybrid UV capabilities, as well as an extended delivery. The new press was delivered in January.

Lancaster—Whitmore Printing has installed a five-color Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74 with aqueous coater and the Prinect Prinance print management system. Whitmore Printing is a full-service commercial printer with 31 employees.
PHILADELPHIA—Oxford Bookbinding was awarded the Power of Print award in the Graphic Arts Association's 2005 Neographics competition for its entry "Stages/The Academy of Music." Oxford also won two Best of Category awards and two Franklin Award for Excellence awards.

JACKSON—Golden Circle Graphics has transitioned from using traditional, processed thermal plates to Agfa's new chemistry-free plate, :Azura, for use on its Creo Trendsetter.

MENASHA—Banta Corp. announced a partnership with Entertainment Publications, a provider of consumer savings and merchant promotions. Banta will provide digital and web printing for the Entertainment Consumer Products division's One-to-One coupon marketing program, which includes more than 215,000 different discount offers throughout North America.
