Missouri Publisher Making Headlines
Jefferson City, MO—The News Tribune Co., publisher of dailies and weeklies in Missouri’s capital city, recently went on edition with its new MAN Roland UNISET 75. The press is the centerpiece of an all-new $14 million production facility. The News Tribune’s UNISET 75 is configured with four reel stands, 32 couples and a 2:3:3 folder. As it was activated, a 32-year-old Goss system was decommissioned.

CITY OF INDUSTRY—Ultimate Paper Box has invested in a new six-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi Diamond 3000LX sheetfed press with aqueous coater.
FRESNO—Corporate Express Document & Print Management, based in Omaha, NE, has signed a lease for 110,500 square feet of space at the new North Pointe Business Park. The new facility will manufacture product identification labels and forms, as well as serve as a distribution hub for customers in the Western region.
PASO ROBLES—Business forms and digital printer Pro Document Solutions has signed an agreement to implement THE System business management software from CRC Information Systems.
COLORADO
DENVER—Lange Graphics has expanded its format size with the installation of a new six-color, 41˝ KBA Rapida 105 sheetfed press with aqueous, hybrid and full UV printing capabilities.
FLORIDA
TAMPA BAY—Color Spectrum Printing has purchased a six-color, 28˝ Komori Lithrone equipped with an in-line aqueous coater. The press is part of a $3 million expansion by the commercial printer into a new 26,000-square-foot facility.
GEORGIA
ATLANTA—The in-plant facility at Georgia Power recently installed a Heidelberg Prosetter 102 computer-to-plate system with Single Cassette Loader (SCL). The shop also reports adding Prinect solutions, including Prinect Printready System, Prinect Signa Station and Prinect MetaDimension.

INDIANAPOLIS—Hilltop Press, a division of National Graphics, has ordered an eight-color Komori sheetfed UV press to join a six-color Komori UV model added in 2005.
KANSAS
KANSAS CITY—James Printing has purchased a Kluge UniFold automatic folder/gluer from Brandtjen & Kluge primarily to produce pocket folders.
MASSACHUSETTS
PITTSFIELD—An eight-color, 40˝ Komori Lithrone perfector with coater is now running at Quality Printing. It is the firms’s fourth Komori press.
MINNESOTA
MINNEAPOLIS—The John Roberts Co. has been certified as a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody company by sustainable forestry certifier SmartWood.
NEW JERSEY
CLIFTON—Sandy Alexander was a major underwriter and presenting sponsor of “Grow: Design for Sustainability,” a full-day symposium on the integration of the graphic arts industry with the global business shift toward sustainable practices. The sold-out symposium was presented by the New York Chapter of the AIGA.

PORTLAND—Signature Graphics recently added on to its existing Tensor pressline by purchasing two T-400BE four-high towers and one H-50 heavy-duty jaw folder.
WASHINGTON
SEATTLE—Consolidated Press has replaced three existing Heidelberg presses by installing a 10-unit (5/5) Komori Lithrone 540 Super Perfector at its facility here.
WISCONSIN
WAUKESHA—Commercial printer J.B. Kenehan has purchased a Goss M-500 web press equipped with QuadTech color control and register guidance systems and an Ecotherm dryer.
