After 38 Million Impressions, Printer Replaces Press With Identical Machine
RAPID CITY, SD—A two-color Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46 press recently replaced an identical machine that had logged 38 million impressions at The Little Print Shop based here. Like its predecessor, the new press is turning out one- and two-color commercially printed products in short-run quantities for a primarily local clientele that includes corporations, small businesses and retail customers.
"The new machine feels and runs tighter," says Alan Sewell, president and owner of the quick print shop. "Adjustments stay put and the pressmen don't have to fight as hard to get the ink balance where we need it to be."
The company also uses Heidelberg Saphira consumables, including inks, blankets and rollers.
