Last week, Advertisers Printing, a commercial shop in St. Louis, Missouri, celebrated an impressive milestone: 100 years in business.
Alex Fechner, the fourth generation of the family to be stepping into the business, noted that since 1923, the company has seen "one Great Depression, two world wars, a booming economy, two recessions and last but not least…. COVID. In other words, lots of ups downs and everything in between."
Bill Fechner, the third generation and Alex’s father gave kudos to his wife for her unconditional support over his 44+ years as CEO. Pledging to love her forever, he wishes he could say, “I did as good a job with this company as she has done raising me and our children. She had, by far, the tougher job.”
To celebrate the milestone, the Advertisers team invited friends and family to toast to the last 100 years along with them as they debuted a new video highlighting the evolution of the business, and looked ahead to the next 100 years.
Only one percent of businesses make it to the 100 year mark, noted Alex Fechner, who told the crowd, "My father always said Advertisers Printing is one of the greatest story’s that’s never been told. Well thanks to our incredible team, our go-to vendors, our patient families, our supportive friends, our amazing customers, and our phenomenal film crew, we feel like now is the perfect time to tell our story."
It is certainly an impressive accomplishment worth the celebration. Congratulations to Advertisers Printing for making it to 100 years, and here's to the next 100 years of success and growth as the generations waiting in the wings grow up and make their own contributions to the rich legacy of the company.
