Agfa Apogee Users Group Meeting at GRAPH EXPO Rapidly Filling Up
RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ—September 1, 2011—Agfa Graphics announced that the :Apogee Users Group meeting at GRAPH EXPO is rapidly filling up. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 12, from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. in room S106b in the South Building, Level 1 at McCormick Place in Chicago. At the meeting, :Apogee users will have an opportunity to share their experiences using Agfa’s award-winning workflow software suite while mingling over refreshments.
Jon Morgan, IT Manager of Hopkins Printing in Columbus, OH, is again attending this year’s event. Morgan said he is eager to get an advance look at what’s coming down the road.
“Attending the :Apogee Users Group meeting at GRAPH EXPO is a must for me. Each year, Agfa gives us a look into the latest, as well as future, product developments, which is key. Last year, we saw a preview of :Apogee Impose and now we’re using it on a daily basis and saving so much time,” Morgan said.
Sessions include the highly popular ’Tips and Tricks’ presentation conducted by Agfa’s Academy team of prepress experts. Plans also include a demonstration of what’s new in the :Apogee Network online community.
“We plan to give users an overview of :Apogee 7.1 which is launching at GRAPH EXPO,” said Mark Gallucci, Agfa Graphics Manager of Technology Marketing, Commercial Software & CtP, North America. “Representatives from Agfa’s Commercial Software team will be onsite to preview the workflow and offer a sneak preview of :Apogee Suite 8. Current and future :Apogee users should not miss this event,” Gallucci added.
:Apogee 7.1 Workflow includes :Apogee Prepress, Agfa’s JDF-enabled prepress production hub that provides automation throughout the production environment. :Apogee Prepress includes the latest version of Adobe PDF Print Engine, which significantly enhances rendering performance since PDF files are rendered natively and transparencies are automatically resolved during the rendering process. :Apogee Prepress offers multi-part job support allowing users to combine the different parts of a job in one ticket, reducing setup time allowing for easy status tracking, and includes the groundbreaking :Apogee Impose automated imposition system.
Registration is required to attend the meeting. To register, please contact Linda Tomza at Linda.tomza@agfa.com or call 201-373-4185.
