Agfa Graphics to Demo Wide-Format Printers, Media and Applications at SGIA 2011

NEW ORLEANS—Oct. 18, 2011—Agfa Graphics announced it will be displaying several wide-format inkjet printers, a diverse range of media, and highlighting its unique “Application Zone” that features lifestyle scenarios where inkjet printing goes beyond typical output at SGIA 2011. Making its North American debut is the :Anapurna M2540 FB which has a print size of 8.3’ x 5’ and offers a time-saving quick change vacuum bed. Visitors to booths #935 and 945 can also see the :Anapurna M1600, the :Jeti 3020 Titan and the :Jeti 3324 AquaJet RTR being demonstrated on the show floor.

“Each of these engines fills a different market need,” said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America. “While the new :Anapurna M2540 FB is the first entry-level flatbed :Anapurna designed specifically for rigid substrates, the :Jeti 3020 Titan is a high-volume, field-upgradeable flatbed that provides high resolution. The :Jeti 3324 AquaJet RTR is a textile printer that uses specially formulated inks for printing direct to any polyester-based fabric. Any digital print provider looking to diversify can come up with new ways of doing business with any of these printers.”

The Application Zone will help spur new ideas for inkjet printing. Attendees can learn how to easily create fine art replicas, floor and wall coverings, uniquely designed chairs and table lamps. The Application Zone can help inspire printers to be more creative and grow their profit potential.

SGIA attendees will also see a large variety of substrates that will expand their application offerings. From waterproof, tearproof media to clear acrylics and texturized vinyls, Agfa Graphics will showcase best practices in many areas of inkjet production. The booth will also feature cutting and laminating systems.
