Agfa Graphics One of First to Adopt ISO 50001 Certification
MORTSEL, BELGIUM—April 22, 2013—In the field of environmental sustainability, Agfa Graphics is a forerunner in the graphics industry. As a global entrepreneur Agfa recognizes and actively supports the necessity to continuously improve its environmental performance, in its own, as well as in its customers operations. The extensive family of chemistry-free printing plates are the perfect example of eco-friendly products that really make a difference to the customers.
With its plate manufacturing plants in Germany and the United Kingdom already certified according to the ISO50001 standard by LRQA (Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance), Agfa Graphics is one of the first companies worldwide to adopt this new energy management standard. Every other Agfa Graphics plant in the world is now working towards certification in 2013 or 2014 building on the expertise.
