Agfa to Highlight Inkjet, CTP and Workflow Efficiency, Productivity at GRAPH EXPO
RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ—Sept. 7, 2011—Agfa Graphics announced that it will showcase the widest product portfolio at the company’s booth (#1227) at GRAPH EXPO 2011 in Chicago, from Sept. 11-14 at McCormick Place. Agfa’s solutions answer customer demands for increased efficiency, productivity and sustainability.
Several wide-format inkjet systems will be running live at the show, including the new :Anapurna M1600, a 63˝ wide UV-curable, four-color printer that features white ink and Agfa’s flexible G2 inks. The :JETI 3020 Titan FTR, a flatbed UV inkjet system with flat-to-roll option and designed with a modular format so it can be upgraded on-site will also be shown. The high-speed :Anapurna M2050, an 80˝ six-color plus white, UV-curable inkjet printer that offers high print production on indoor or outdoor media and on rigid or roll media, will also be demonstrated.
Among the new CtP products making their North America debut at GRAPH EXPO is the :Azura Vi violet, chemistry-free photopolymer offset plate. :Azura Vi is sensitized for visible lasers emitting at 405nm and works with all mainstream violet imagers with a 30mW (or greater) laser. In addition, Agfa will showcase the :N94-VCF, the next-generation violet chemistry-free plate designed specifically for newspaper and coldset printers.
Also being introduced at GRAPH EXPO are three new clean-out units for low-, mid- and high-volume customers. The :Azura C65 is Agfa’s first table-top clean-out unit (COU) for its :Azura TS thermal chemistry free offset plate and designed for the low volume customer looking for an efficient and ecological plate solution. The mid-volume C95 will also be on display near the new :Azura Ultima C125 thermal clean-out unit, which will be running live. :Azura Ultima C125 offers convenience and ecology for high-volume, chemistry-free plate-making.
In workflow, Agfa will launch the newest version of its award-winning :Apogee system, version 7.1. :Apogee Prepress 7.1 is Agfa’s JDF-enabled prepress production hub that provides automation throughout the production environment. :Apogee Prepress supports the latest version of Adobe PDF Print Engine and offers multi-part job support, reducing setup time and allowing for easy status tracking.

Our objective is for them to realize additional ways to attract new customers.”
A variety of products and services will be on display from Agfa’s world class manufacturers, including: 3M, ACTEGA Kelstar, DuPont, Epson, Essex Product Group, HP, Maratek, Neschen Americas, Oki Data, Pregis, Sun Chemical, Toray Products, X-Rite Pantone and others.
Attendees will also be able to learn about Agfa’s industrial printing systems, the :M-Press Tiger, :M-Press Leopard and the :Dotrix.
