Agfa Graphics to Demonstrate MGI's Short-Run, High-Speed Digital Printing Line at SGIA 2014

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ—October 17, 2014—Agfa Graphics will be demonstrating several systems from MGI Digital Graphic Technology at SGIA 2014, now that Agfa has become the national distributor for MGI products in the United States. MGI s a leading designer and manufacturer of award-winning digital presses and a complete line of versatile finishing solutions. Attendees of SGIA 2014 will be able to see the elegant visual output and feel the stunning texture from some MGI systems at the Agfa Graphics booth (#2019) in Las Vegas from Oct. 22-24.

The Agfa Graphics portfolio now includes such MGI products as the Meteor DP8700 XL+, the JETvarnish 3D and the iFOIL.

The Meteor DP8700 XL+ is a versatile, cost-effective digital press that produces a wide range of high-quality products quickly and efficiently. It has true multi-substrate capabilities for paper, plastics and envelopes, laser safe prints and offset comparable output with expanded sizes up to 13x47". It can produce high-margin products such as packaging, labels, plastic cards and more.

The JETvarnish 3D takes digital spot UV coating to a new dimension featuring increased throughput for flat spot UV applications and visually stunning 3D raised effects on POP and POS signage. The iFOIL digital embossing and hot foil stamping solution eliminates the need for films, dies and makeready, allowing for highly profitable hot foil stamping and embossing work that engage both visual and tactile senses.
