Alessandrini, 77, Former NAPL President, Passes

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—Charles A. "Chuck" Alessandrini, a former NAPL president and Soderstrom Society member who left his mark in the printing industry across four decades, has died at the age of 77 in River Edge, NJ.

Mr. Alessandrini joined NAPL in 1966 as a member of its Cost and Finance Department and served as its fifth president from 1982 until his retirement in 1991. During his presidency, a number of industry education programs were initiated, including NAPL’s Carl Didde WorkPLACE program and Management Institute. He was honored with the 1992 Walter E. Soderstrom Award and also captured the Elmer G. Voigt Award.

Mr. Alessandrini also published a book, "Beyond the Bottom Line," in 1995 and founded the Elmwood Barn Restaurant in Elmwood Park, NJ.

He is survived by a son, Charles, and his wife Adrian; a daughter, Susan Lanzarone, and her husband Kevin; three grandchildren, Felicia, Marissa, and Michelle; and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Rosemarie, passed away in 2006.
