Design 'N' Buy Launches Version 2.4 of 'All-in-One Designer' with Advanced Print MIS, Workflow
NEW YORK—Feb. 1, 2016—Design 'N' Buy has achieved its first milestone with the launch of its All-in-One Designer HTML5 platform. The latest version has already gained interest from print service providers due to its Web-to-print and ecommerce features.
The major re-engineering in the new version has been designed around the Print MIS and workflow features, and a focus has also been given to prepress workflow for printers, along with an enhanced end-user experience (with a new quick edit feature). The new features enable users to make changes in a pre-defined template from the product details page itself, without going into a design studio. Introduction of a flip tool, pick color module, and masking support to full CMYK output redefines the user experience.
Since the design studio has been an integrated part of AIOD-HTML5, the product team has done a makeover to give it a new look and feel. The limitation of allowing image masking with shapes has been removed in 2.4 and now, it’s possible to upload any image and apply shapes to them. Users can also add special effects to images and define them as monotone or duotone.
The Get Quote link is an important feature which has been introduced in this version, that allows customers to send a request for a customized quote from PSPs. Administration then reviews the order and sends a customized quote for approval. Once approved by the customer, the representative will place the order on behalf of a customer. There are in-built options of sending a reminder, as well as follow-up emails, along with assigning a customer to an internal team for answering customers.
With drop-shipment and multi-vendor support, printers can manage orders without even having in-house capabilities for those orders. The administration can manage product-specific vendors and assign them a fixed commission based on product. Administration has given full-fledged back end to configure vendors and on each order, notification emails with desired order details will be delivered to respective vendors. Vendor facilitated with an individual login can view orders, change product status (shipped, processed, pending etc.) and can also check order and commission reports. Administration can also manage finances and the balance sheet of individual vendors and add commissions to be paid or already paid manually to it.
Abhishek Agarwal CMO of the company said that it was a strategic and planned move with efforts of marketing and the product team. He wishes his team many congratulations and luck on their future endeavors.
