Allen Press Invests in an HP Indigo 7900, Inline Booklet Maker and Coating System
LAWRENCE, Kan. – May 23, 2017 – Allen Press has purchased a HP Indigo 7900 digital press. The Indigo 7900 is the leading 13x19" format digital sheetfed press on the market and provides a wide range of digital applications through innovative print quality, media versatility and intelligent automation.
In addition to the Indigo 7900, Allen Press is adding a C.P. Bourg Inline Booklet Maker ExPress and an Epic CT-750 Coating System.
“This package of equipment will help us take our digital printing operations to an entirely new level and open the door to new markets and print revenue channels,” said Julie Rinke, senior VP of operations and business support services.
The Indigo 7900 utilizes printing hardware and software, resulting in the smoothest and sharpest digital prints in the industry, matching or even exceeding offset quality. In addition, its One Shot technology allows for printing on a variety of materials, including canvas prints, plastic cards, lenticular applications and metalized media.
“As with any major equipment purchase, our goal is to position ourselves for future growth,” said Randy Radosevich, CEO. “This investment significantly expands our print capabilities and allows us to serve more customers. We’re excited to partner with HP on this important addition to our operation and we look forward to growing even more with HP in the future.”
The Indigo 7900 is expected to be installed early this summer and will replace the current Xerox XC 1000. The C.P. Bourg Booklet Maker ExPress and an Epic CT-750 Coating System will be installed over the course of the next few months.
