Allied Printing Services Releases Video to Announce Expansion of Its Digital Printing Department
Allied Printing Services, based in Manchester, Conn., has released a video announcing the expansion of its Digital Printing Department. Allied installed its sixth Xeikon 9800 digital web press this year, which tops off a fleet of 15 total digital presses. On the finishing side, Allied installed an additional new Polar cutter and five Horizon folders to augment post-press operations.
These 2021 investments come on the heels of an active 2020 that saw the addition of a Komori Impremia IS29 inkjet press and two digital web presses.
John Sommers, President and CEO of Allied, commented, “While we are excited to add new equipment to service our customers, our focus has been on the people and process side of things. We doubled our square footage in Digital with a construction project done completely by our internal maintenance team; the new layout has optimized our workflow.
"Most importantly, we have hired over 40 new employees in 2021," he added. "The majority of those new faces are in our data processing, programming, digital printing, and finishing departments. Our Digital Printing Manager, Ben Fournier, has done a tremendous job managing growth in the midst of change.”
