AlphaGraphics Promotes Growth with Senior-level Promotion and New Hire
SALT LAKE CITY—July 18, 2013—AlphaGraphics Inc., a global leader in print and marketing communications solutions, announced today the promotion of Dave Buzza to chief development officer and the addition of Darin Hicks as vice president of special projects. These executive team appointments are part of AlphaGraphics' ongoing implementation of its business strategy to evolve from a printer to a marketing communications franchise, and to help further its franchise growth around the country.
"We are excited to announce Dave Buzza's promotion as chief development officer, as well as welcome Darin Hicks into his new role at AlphaGraphics," said Art Coley, president of AlphaGraphics. "These two executive moves are a result of the momentum we've achieved in implementing our business strategy from simply being a tactical solution for small businesses to a trusted, strategic marketing partner. We are confident that both Buzza and Hicks will play integral roles in continuing to move the brand forward."
Dave Buzza has been with AlphaGraphics since 2008, most recently serving as the vice president of global development. Prior to his experience with the AlphaGraphics, Buzza spent 10 years as a printing industry franchise owner. As chief development officer, Buzza will oversee franchise development, as well as the marketing, acquisition and new franchisee launch teams. He will also be responsible for developing and enhancing a sales culture across the network.
"During my five years with AlphaGraphics, I have seen many franchisees become successful entrepreneurs through our proven business model," explained Dave Buzza, chief development officer of AlphaGraphics. "As a former franchisee, I understand how to succeed as an entrepreneur, and look forward to continuing to work with our current and future franchisees to succeed with AlphaGraphics."
Darin Hicks brings extensive franchising experience with a focus on business operations, finance, sales, management and accounting to AlphaGraphics' network of nearly 300 franchise locations. Before joining AlphaGraphics, Hicks served as the chief financial officer and chief-operating officer with BaseCamp Franchising. As vice president of special projects at AlphaGraphics, Hicks will focus on continuing to implement the company's business strategy to move from a printer to a marketing communications partner. Specifically, he will have an operational focus on driving profitability and operational excellence for all centers in the AlphaGraphics network. In addition, Hicks will lead an effort in identifying and coordinating best practices, as well as streamline network purchasing.
AlphaGraphics was founded in Tucson, AZ, in 1970. In 1979 the company began franchising its unique business model, which offers a comprehensive suite of marketing and print solutions for B2B customers. Today, there are nearly 300 franchises across 30 states.
