American Litho Installs First Inkjet HP PageWide Web Press T250 HD in US to Enhance Direct Mail Power
American Litho, a leading direct mail solutions provider, has installed the first HP PageWide Web Press T250 HD in the U.S. to boost power to deliver personalized direct mail for digital trigger marketing campaigns.
The 22-inch continuous inkjet HP PageWide Web Press T250 with HP Brilliant Ink enables new versatility with an expanded color and paper gamut for high-volume commercial, publishing, transaction, and direct mail applications.
“At American Litho, we tailor our capabilities to meet the needs of our customers, and in 2020 we found ourselves adapting more than ever. Investing in our equipment to further propel the powerful combination of print and digital services is vital to providing a standout product every time,” said Frank Arostegui, Executive Vice President of Sales. “With the HP PageWide T250, we can deliver a larger share of direct mail campaigns and other projects that incorporate strict quality and color requirements with very short turnaround times.”
HP digital technology enables American Litho to print high-quality applications with unlimited variation using a single-pass production process to deliver a product that streamlines the mail stream and reduces postage spend.
Headquartered in greater Chicago, American Litho’s range of commercial print clients includes financial services, insurance, retail, health care, fast food, travel, entertainment, health and beauty, and education.
“We see greater demand from leading clients who are on the forefront of direct mail marketing. They are bringing us advanced campaigns with large pieces, intricate pieces, often running at volumes of 7 million or more in a single campaign,” Arostegui added.
A worldwide launch customer for the new HP PageWide T250 HD, American Litho has also now upgraded its HP PageWide T240 HD to the T250 capabilities. An innovator in digital printing services, American Litho also operates the HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press.
“Direct mail marketing is more effective than ever, with an in-person, tactile experience delivering significantly higher response rates compared with digital advertising. American Litho’s continued investment in high-quality inkjet firepower positions it to deliver the high demand from brand advertisers for direct mail with quick turnaround,” said Carles Farre, vice president and general manager, HP PageWide Industrial.
HP Brilliant Ink delivers high-quality print with eye-catching color, bold reds and dazzling blues with a glossy output. A new CMYK ink set offers an extended gamut, specifically designed to print with high quality on coated and uncoated offset media with one press.
American Litho’s proprietary data analytics system, Amerilytics, also works seamlessly with HP’s advanced press technology. The T250’s speed gives time in the project cycle to apply predictive modelling and other data techniques that deliver greater ROI for clients. “We are able to run trigger campaigns and other options that dovetail perfectly with clients’ combined print and digital strategies,” Arostegui said.
American Litho has grown from a small print shop staffed by a handful of employees to a team of nearly 350 working in Carol Stream, Illinois, with satellite offices in strategic Midwest cities. In 2018 the Chicago Tribune named American Litho the region’s #1 mid-sized employer, citing the open-door policies of company founders Mike Fontana and Chris Joyaux in creating a culture of collaboration and innovation that ensures print excellence.
