LOUISVILLE, KY—October 31, 2008—aNETorder, a leading fulfillment and distribution services provider, is expanding its capabilities with the addition of state-of-the-art warehouse systems and facilities, along with a fully trained staff in Strongsville, OH.
The 175,000-square-foot warehouse in Strongsville was opened in 2006 to provide fulfillment services for divisions of Reader’s Digest including World Almanac Education Library Services, Weekly Reader and Gareth Stevens Books. With the acquisition, aNETorder will retain a supply agreement to continue providing fulfillment services for these Reader’s Digest business units.
This acquisition allows aNETorder to greatly expand its scope by partnering with the educational publishing market.
The Strongsville facility is in an ideal location to expedite delivery time and reduce shipping costs across the nation. The facility is also geared toward the educational publishing market, with the technology and expertise to distribute products quickly and efficiently to schools and consumers.
aNETorder selected the Strongsville facility because it has robust systems, technology, modern and scalable operation facilities, a strong labor force, experienced management personnel and superior inventory control procedures.
aNETorder is retaining the current Reader’s Digest warehouse staff to service its customer base.
“We are pleased to expand the business relationship with our long-time customer, Reader’s Digest,” said aNETorder/American Mailers CEO Shane Randall. “This acquisition will increase our capabilities and bandwidth to better service our existing customers as well as enhance our offerings to the educational publishing market.”
aNETorder also has facilities in Naperville, Illinois and Louisville, Kentucky. The company, founded in 1995, specializes in transaction processing, fulfillment, logistics, warehousing, returns processing, kitting, pick/pack, invoicing, packaging and direct mail services.
Al Perruzza, SVP Global Operations & Business Redesign at Reader’s Digest said “This transaction is in keeping with our strategy to optimize our infrastructure and move to a variable outsourced partner model for our warehousing and fulfillment services. We are also pleased to do this by expanding our existing partnership with aNETorder/American Mailers.”
