The Global Angel Wings project began in 2012, when artist Colette Miller painted a humanized set of wings in Los Angeles - the City of Angels. Her purpose was to remind humanity that “we are the angels of Earth.” The concept took off, and she painted more wings throughout the city, and later expanded them into a worldwide phenomenon.
And now her wings have flown into the SGIA Expo.
Pacific Coast Fabrics (Booth 2445) and Top Value Fabrics (Booth 2155) will be featuring Miller’s wings, with this installation marking the first time the wings will ever have been showcased in a lightbox application.
“We’ve been working with Colette for months to bring her wings to the SGIA Expo. Her wings captivate us as we move through our community - they are painted all over Los Angeles and throughout the world. She has generously loaned us her wings for this installation,” says Kathryn Sanders, Marketing and Sales, Pacific Coast Fabrics, who spearheaded the project.
The two pairs of wings will be on display for the entire show. Post photos with the wings using hashtag #AngelWingsSGIA
