Annual Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference is Planned for July
ALEXANDRIA, VA—May 22, 2008—The annual Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference has been planned for 2008 and will be held in Rochester, NY on July 13-18. The Print Services & Distribution Association (PSDA) hosted event will address issues specifically relevant to trade and commercial printers and print suppliers.
“In a troubled economy, it is important to have an opportunity to convene as a group to discuss how to change to the current market,” commented Peter Colaianni, CAE, executive vice president for PSDA. “This event was designed with that in mind. Our speakers, the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading, national printers, and the tour of the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Printing Applications Laboratory will help each one of our attendees develop a successful, strategic plan for their companies. RIT is an impressive outfit. They provide troubleshooting support to printers of all sorts and we want to be sure our attendees see what is available to them.”
The 2008 event will commence with a plant tour at Cohber Press, a full service printing and marketing communications company that specializes in solutions from direct-to-plate printing to full service marketing solutions. “This plant tour will be an incredible eye-opener for everyone attending the conference,” said Dennis McGarry, vice president of education at PSDA. “They are a forward-thinking business that really understands the needs of their customers. I’m excited and impressed that they are allowing us to get an inside look at their operation.”
The Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference will also feature education sessions from some of the industry’s leading professionals. Andrew Paparozzi, the vice president and chief economist for NAPL, will share his insights on the state of the industry, Barb Pellow, the group leader for InfoTrends, will discuss how TransPromo documents are affecting the forms industry, Ivars Sarkans, the president of Ivars Sarkans & Associates, will give attendees an inside look at what was presented at Drupa 2008, and Peter Muir, the president of Bizucate, will demonstrate what it takes to become a marketing service provider. These education sessions, along with many others, will conclude with the tour of RIT’s Printing Applications Laboratory on July 18th.
