MENOMONEE FALLS, WI—Following the rejection of a company proposal to reduce wages, Arandell Corp. informed its 600 union workers that it was going to implement a 21 percent pay cut, television station TMJ4 in Milwaukee reported. A company spokesperson told the station that it had negotiated to the point of reaching an impasse.
The union rejected Arandell Corp.'s final offer, which included pay cuts. Shortly after, the catalog printer said it would be moving forward with a 21 percent pay reduction, according to TMJ4. Arandell told the station that the wage cuts were needed to remain competitive with Quad/Graphics of Sussex, WI.
Arandell was ranked 28th on the 2009 Printing Impressions 400 with sales of $287 million.
