Bell and Howell Announces OEM Agreement with HP for Inkjet Module
DURHAM, NC—Nov. 8, 2012—Under the terms of the new OEM agreement with HP, Bell and Howell, a leading provider of solutions and services for paper-based and digital messaging, announced it will now integrate the HP C500 inkjet color print module into its inserting and finishing systems as an option. The company will market these integrated systems throughout North America.
“Incorporating inline inkjet printing capabilities into our Inveloper Plain Paper Factory solution allows customers to improve the effectiveness of their communications through the addition of color images, graphics and variable data,” said Mike McIntee, Bell and Howell vice president of business development. “The HP C500 is an excellent complement to the Inveloper or any of our other inserting systems, producing high-quality images at full production speed. This agreement is yet another example of how Bell and Howell partners with other industry leaders to provide cost-effective solutions that meet or exceed our customers’ needs.”
“Many print service providers are looking to incorporate digital printing as a way to add personalization and color to envelopes for more impact,” added Kathy Tobin, vice president and general manager, Specialty Printing Solutions, HP. “Bell and Howell’s system using HP’s inkjet technology is an ideal way for companies to adopt variable data printing with a high-quality, full-color solution.”
Producing color text and images at a resolution of 600 dpi, the HP C500 prints at speeds of up to 500 fpm using thermal inkjet HP Scalable Printing Technology.
