Bennett Graphics Is One of First Installations Worldwide for HP Indigo 100K Digital Press
Bennett Graphics, a general print service provider in the U.S., has launched the new HP Indigo 100K Digital Press, delivering breakthrough digital offset print productivity to enable the printer to capture new business opportunities.
Selected as a worldwide HP Indigo 100K beta site customer, the Atlanta-area based Bennett is already benefitting from 30 to 45% higher productivity on the 29˝/B2 format press, driving growth in its direct mail business.
The first press in HP Indigo Series 5, the HP Indigo 100K is designed to deliver highly productive, on-demand digital printing.
“Almost overnight, our digital print production capabilities have expanded, enabling us to deliver much higher quantities of last-minute orders for the midnight mail drops,” said David Bennett, owner. “It’s been amazing. This press is so advanced and runs like it’s already been in the market a few years.”
Bennett delivers a range of commercial printing, specializing in oversized direct mail cards, especially for luxury automobile dealers, non-profits, educational and casinos, in addition to label converting. Bennett says his company is now experiencing a recovery in printing levels across verticals.
“Growing demand for the HP Indigo 100K is a testament to the need for high-quality, versatility, and productive digital printing,” said Haim Levit, general manager of HP Indigo. “We want Bennett and others to benefit from faster turnarounds and transition more work to digital, boosting sustainability with on-demand printing.”
A trailblazer in digital printing, Bennett also purchased the first commercially available HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, now replaced by the new HP Indigo 100K. Bennett also runs an HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press, HP Indigo 6800 for its growing labels business, HP Indigo 7900, and HP Latex R2000 for hybrid rigid and flexible materials. The family-owned print service provider (PSP), located in Tucker, Ga., is also taking advantage of the HP PrintOS OEE app to streamline its HP print operations.
Engineered for nonstop printing
The new HP Indigo 100K digital press sets a new benchmark in sheetfed productivity, capable of nonstop printing of tens of thousands of B2 duplex sheets every day. Watch the video of a press born to run.
Printing at 6000 sheets per hour in 3-color Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM) mode, the HP Indigo 100K press delivers significantly higher productivity compared with the HP Indigo 10000 series along with the look and feel of offset.
Bennett says that he is running up to 50% of all print jobs on the HP Indigo 100K with EPM, delivering excellent offset print quality and tight registration. In addition, the HP Indigo 100K color consistency enables Bennett to provide a proof and deliver on the brand color whenever the order is printed.
This high performance is enabled by advanced paper handling and offset-like gripper-to-gripper design for precision registration, as well as unique Indigo digital advantages, including color automation, calibration, fast switchover between jobs and media and five-input source feeder.
