CAROL STREAM, IL—A worker was killed at the Berlin Industries printing plant when his head and shoulders were trapped in a paper baler, according to the Daily Herald. The man was reportedly underneath a compacted load of paper weighing more 100 pounds.
Firefighters undertook a two-hour rescue and recovery mission that included crews attempting to gain access to the machine through the roof of the facility, the Herald noted. Berlin Industries is a web offset printer that operates one non-heatset and eight heatset presses, according to its Website. It specializes in direct mail printing.
