Bielomatik-Matti to Debut Rollfed Inkjet Press with Kodak Technology, In-Line Finishing at Open House
NEUFFEN, GERMANY—October 14, 2014—Bielomatik-Matti (bielomatti) invites customers to its Open House in Neuffen, Germany. From November 18-26, 2014, the company will show its fully integrated machine configuration PageMaster, which combines high-quality roll fed digital printing with in-line finishing for the first time. Amongst others, brochures, manuals and personalized notebooks will be printed digitally.
As a new player on the market, bielomatti offers innovative digital printing and processing technology from one source. The company was founded in 2013 as a joint venture of the digital printing specialist Matti Technology (Matti, CH-Sulgen) and the renowned provider of paper processing equipment bielomatik Leuze GmbH + Co. KG (bielomatik, D-Neuffen). bielomatti now combines the comprehensive technology know-how and the experience and expertise of the two partners in digital printing and print finishing.
World premiere of the PageMaster
During the Open House at the bielomatik site in Neuffen, Germany (close to Stuttgart), printers, converters, publishers and other interested customers will have the opportunity to see for themselves the benefits of the new bielomatti technology. For the first time the fully integrated bielomatti machine configuration PageMaster will be demonstrated, printing and converting—individual, wire-stitched products in a variety of formats and page numbers, with highest productivity and machine availability.
Job changes will be done "on the fly" during machine operation. With a maximum capacity of 110 products per minute in double pocket operation and with production speeds of up to 300 m./min., the PageMaster will show the live production of brochures, magazines, instruction manuals or personalized notebooks from the unprinted roll to the finished product. Job changes with the same product size will be executed "on the fly" during running production process, job changes with changes in product size can be done within shortest time at a press of a button.
Razor sharp images are guaranteed by the Prosper 24.5” Linebars for B/W printing as well as the 4” Prosper S10 printing units for the imprinting of spot color where also Pantone colors can be used. Both systems are based on the KODAK Stream Inkjet Technology. It is a continuous inkjet system, which enables even large runs to be produced economically with production costs that are considerably below the costs of comparable digital printing systems. The Stream Technology is designed for a real high speed production with superior printing quality that stands the comparison with offset printing. With a resolution of 175 lpi, a variety of coated and uncoated papers can be printed on both sides over the whole machine width.
Perfect paper processing
In addition to the new bielomatti PageMaster, two other machines from bielomatik´s portfolio will be presented at the Open House. The new high performance cross cutter, CutMaster CFS 105, will be exhibited in a stand alone version. This extremely compact standalone solution can be used for cutting sheets of board, paper, as well as in the future plastic film. Digital inkjet printheads can be integrated for the imprinting of personalized data. Furthermore, an in-line integration to digital printing or finishing machines with a non-stop pile change system is available. The BookMaster BM 360, which is perfectly suitable for the production of hardcover books, will demonstrate an economic book-on-demand production.
