MISSION VIEJO, CA—October 8, 2013—Bill LeVine, founder of PIP Printing, has died at the age of 93. Mr. LeVine founded Postal Press in 1943, a leading commercial printing plant in Southern California. He then pioneered the first "while-you-wait" print center in 1964, and the first three Postal Instant Press franchises opened in 1968 heralding the first franchise organization in the printing industry and creating one of the fastest growing industries in the United States.
Mr. LeVine's legacy lives on today in PIP Printing and Marketing Services locations, and in the annual IFA Bonnie LeVine Award created in 1994, which past PIP president Catherine Monson received in 2008. To many, Mr. LeVine was a father figure, and worked hard on behalf of the small business entrepreneur. A well-respected innovator and industry leader, Mr. LeVine was a gentleman who will certainly be missed.
