Good morning!
Here’s my Cyber Monday sales tip. It’s a BOGO…actually, it’s more of a HOGO (hear one, get one) or ROGO if you are reading, but I digress…
You have heard me say/write/plea: Never leave today without having tomorrow planned. It’s one of my favorite sales tips as the most important part of time management is preparation. Following that tip allows you to start a new day with a plan, instead of wondering what the day will bring.
I want to take that tip and combine it with another favorite—Make sales calls two at a time—to kick off your 3 week sprint to the finish line that is 2019.
If I ask a group of sales reps (or you), “Do you have time to make 10 prospecting calls a day?” they’d likely say No. However, if I ask for just two calls, that is always met with a Yes. So, I tell them to make 2 calls a time all day long. Before they know it, they are likely to get to 10 and often well beyond…but there’s a rub:
You have to have someone to call on.
That is, if I am asking you to be able to call on a dime, you need to have a prepared and updated CRM.
So, here’s today’s tip:
Before you leave for the day, make sure you have tomorrow fully planned and thought out, but also create a list of no fewer than 10 people to call on the following day. That way, you will be able to make two quick calls, then get to the next task on your list, followed by two calls, and follow that with the next task on your list.
This Cyber Monday Short Attention Span Sales Tip is completely guaranteed, although some settling may have occurred during shipping, and your mileage may vary.
