Delta 5 Diecutter Deal Is Sealed During PRINT 13

PROVIDENCE, RI—At PRINT 13 and CPP Expo, MCM Technologies, based here, purchased a Delta 5 flexo-magnetic rotary diecutter from Rollem International for its ability to diecut and kiss-cut a virtually unlimited number of products.

"The Delta's quick changeover time, short-run capacity and ease of operation make it ideal for those companies seeking to expand into the shorter run label and packaging market, or for companies currently in the space with a need for finishing digitally produced runs of personalized labels, boxes or direct mail," explains Kevin Corwin, product manager for the Rollem Die Cutting Div.

Wire Binder Features Automatic Cover Flipper

HOUSTON—Seidl's Bindery has purchased a Rilecart B-599 automatic double-loop wire binder from Spiel Associates. This is said to be the first machine in the United States that includes an automatic cover flipper. It is capable of binding up to 4,000 books/hr.

In addition, Bill Seidl, CEO and owner of the company, has purchased two Sterling Coilmaster Jr.'s. These machines can automatically bind plastic coil books at speeds of up to 600 books/hr.

• In order to bring foil stamping in-house to its wholesale bindery operation, Paper Specialties, Raleigh, NC, installed a 14x22˝ Kluge EHD foil stamping, embossing and diecutting press.
• Capital Mailing Services in West Sacramento, CA, has replaced four older cutters with two new ones: 45˝ and 54˝ Saber paper cutters from Colter & Peterson.
• The winner of the special show floor giveaway at PRINT 13 was David Thompson, production manager at American Color Imaging in Waterloo, IA. He won a complete Case Express Workstation from Fastbind.
