We gather to celebrate the incredible 47-year journey of Douglas Herr, Director of Sales, FC BNA at BOBST – a journey marked by dedication, leadership and countless achievements that have shaped our success and legacy.
Doug will be retiring effective May 31, 2024, but continue as a consultant until Dec 31, 2024.
Doug’s story with BOBST began in sales support, where his role as Sales Administrator laid the foundation for his remarkable career. Doug’s commitment to excellence quickly earned him promotions, leading him to become Supervisor, Sales Administration, and later take on sales responsibilities in the New England Territory, specializing in the folding carton and corrugated board product lines.
His journey continued with roles as Sales and Marketing Manager for folding carton, then overseeing Strategic Accounts, and eventually becoming a Sales Manager (Director of Sales), where his strategic vision and industry expertise were instrumental in our growth. In the last six years, Doug's focus on customers in New England, South Central regions, and Strategic Major Accounts further cemented his legacy as a key player in our success. Throughout his tenure at BOBST, Doug's contributions and solutions went beyond his official responsibilities. He played a crucial role in building a cohesive, productive, and loyal folding carton sales group and helped establish a strong, positive, and competitive reputation for BOBST in North America. His leadership qualities, including confidentiality, trust-building, commitment, and perseverance, have been exemplary and have left a lasting impact on all of us. Doug's passion, commitment, and enthusiasm for innovation and his dedication to our customers' success has positioned him as one of the industry experts in North America, setting a standard of excellence that will continue to inspire us.
As Doug embarks on a well-deserved retirement, we express our deepest gratitude for his invaluable contributions. Please take a moment to wish Doug all the best in his new role!
Harold Leete will assume the role of Doug’s successor as the new Director of Sales FC, BNA effective May 1, 2024. With a rich background spanning over 35 years in the Printing & Packaging Industry, Harold brings valuable expertise to BOBST.
Harold grew up outside of Boston and resides in New Hampshire. He started his career in the industry by attending trade school, majoring in Graphic Arts. He has held positions in Operations, Sales, Sales Management, and Business Development for several major corporations. Most recently, Harold was a Business Development Executive at HP, working there for over 10 years. Prior to that, Harold worked at BOBST on the folding carton team where he developed a strong passion for the packaging industry.
Harold served his country as an Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer in the US Army. Among his many accomplishments in the miliary, he was the Honor Graduate during Non-Commissioned Officers School and a graduate of US Army Ranger and Airborne Schools.
Most importantly, he is the proud father of 3 adult children and spends his free time with his 2-year-old granddaughter.
