Borns Group Hits 10M Four-Color Digital Impressions on Its Ricoh Pro C901 Presses

ABERDEEN, S.D. — November 22, 2016 — Borns Group, a commercial printing, digital printing, and direct mail marketing company, has announced that it has surpassed the ten million impressions mark with its digital presses.

The Aberdeen, S.D.-based company provides commercial printing as just one element of its comprehensive direct mail marketing service, which in addition to printing includes graphic design, concept development, campaign planning, list acquisition and mailing services.

Four and a half years ago, due to the growing demand for four-color digital work, Borns Group invested in a Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition digital printer. A year and a half ago they added a second machine, in order to handle higher capacity demands, and also to have a backup for four-color digital production, in the event that one of their machines were to become temporarily disabled.

The Ricoh Pro C901 is a graphic arts printing system designed to provide superior print uptime, vibrant print quality and consistent throughput. In addition to digital printers, Ricoh also sells other office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines, and the like.

Said Lee Borns, Borns Group president, “We have been very pleased with the quality of the output from the Ricoh C901 machines. We feel it puts out as nice a quality as a traditional sheetfed printing press.”
