National Graphic Solutions (NGS), of Appleton, Wis., a print partner to the publishing industry for children’s books, educational products, and the general book market, has been acquired by BR Printers of San Jose, California.
NGS web offset and sheet fed print capabilities, coupled with extensive bindery, and finishing operations, allows the company to execute simple to complex projects, short to long runs, and standard to unique trim sizes. The company produced over one hundred million (100,000,000) books last year. In addition, NGS offers kit building and fulfillment solutions coupled with complete project management services.
“NGS’ web offset print capabilities extend and complement BR’s digitally enabled book manufacturing platform,” says Adam DeMaestri, co-owner of NGS and President and CEO of BR Printers.
The complimentary power of the BR and NGS production platforms provides publishers with a suite of book printing, binding and packaging solutions—well equipped to handle very short run print-on-demand titles to first edition long runs or mid-range quantity reprints.
John Edwards, co-owner of NGS and President of BR East region clarifies, “With both offset and digital printing, the companies provide a valuable and strategic resource for book publishers.”
By offering a wide variety of printed products coupled with personalized customer service and years of industry experience, NGS and BR excel at providing custom solutions making it easier for publishers to produce and distribute their titles.
Philip Kemppainen, who will remain as President of NGS, notes, “The NGS team and I are excited to work with Adam, John and the entire BR team, creating market synergies that truly align with our customer’s needs.”
