Brown Printing to be First U.S. Installation Site for Ferag EasySert
HINWIL, SWITZERLAND—Jan. 20, 2011—Brown Printing’s East Greenville, PA, facility has contracted Ferag to supply and install an EasySert inserting line. The line will mainly be used for adding up to 12 inserts (postcards, magazines, etc.) to stitched products.
The inserting equipment destined for Brown, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gruner+Jahr in Hamburg, Germany, will be the third in North America and the first in the United States. The commercial printer’s decision to purchase an EasySert line is an indication of the versatility of this inserting method, not only for newspapers but also commercial web offset and rotogravure printing applications.
Ferag is represented in Northern America by Goss International Americas.
Installation of the Ferag EasySert line has already begun, with full production scheduled for the first quarter of 2011.
