Camaro Leaves Impression on Printer

GRAND JUNCTION, CO—Modern general commercial printers are always searching for new, ancillary products and services that will give them a leg up on the competition in a competitive marketplace. But it’s doubtful that Sentinel Printing, a small offset shop, ever entertained the idea of selling used cars. Unfortunately for Sentinel, an intoxicated woman turned its shop into an auto showroom in mid-January, when she lost control of her 1996 Chevrolet Camaro, hit a rock and crashed through three front windows of the printing company. The car ended up halfway into the building, according to local KJCT-TV in Grand Junction.

The TV station reported that the driver was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident, among other infractions. The driver and a passenger were tracked down by police a short time later, according to the report.

“The wall’s all messed up and three windows are broken out,” Ralph Scribner, a letterpress operator, told Printing Impressions. “We’re still operational. It would’ve been worse had the car not hit the rock and went up in the air. It would’ve damaged the outside wall.”
